There is an "anime Red" Anon 2, the special The Origin is an adaptation of the Gen 1 story, with a mega stone thrown in, and the main character is Red.

@1767068 err, not really, I mean sure there plenty that age, but plenty that don't. Ash is just one of the more infamous ones, probably mostly due to his age and just how long its ran.
