^It was kind of hinted she liked him at the beginning. I mean, she asked if she could come along with him for no particular reason, and she seemed pretty happy when he said yes.

now we may finally get a MC change (my assumption) but only because XY is pushing ash x serena, the most boring girl to travel with ash since hikari/dawn but worse.
Worse that if they're serious about that pairing but want to keep ash as MC for the 7th gen they might keep her around too.

Piggybacking off Anon 3, if The Pokemon Company had that great idea almost 20 years ago then Ash could of aged off and been paired with a girl, the Pokemon world wouldn't be in a constant non-aging loop, and each of the male leads could be paired off with their female ones (like in the mangas, I think. I haven't read them), of course that leaves "Ash" without a yellow, but I still think this would have kept Pokemon fresh and interesting.

Think about all of the crossover eps for each region when each MC group runs into the other? Could of been cash.
