What's going on here is that the two inklings are searching for a way to express their true emotions without trying to compete with one another. This is as much a coming of age tale as it is a historical masterpiece. In the last frame, the dance conveys the troubles that face modern society: appearance/gender/racial discrimination, capitalism, acts of violence that emerge from lack of concern for the well-being of others. Within lies a kind of artistic expression that may require years of processing before the true message is captured, and hopefully shared from generation to generation.

See; you need to fill your ink tank by swimming in your own color ink when your weapon runs out of ammo.

Being on a un-inked area, the two of them can only helplessly splash about.

All of this could have been found on the artist's tumblr and though I understand you high-brows have "way too little time to fiddle with such trivial things", you should really look into checking the source when you have questions.

He saw an enemy squid and started flopping around in squid form and they joined him. Though several matches.

This picture is making me laugh really hard, because one time in Turf War I was going around covering my area to protect my base only to find a enemy squid jumping around on dry land doing nothing, I just stared and wonder why. Then 5 seconds later I just joined him and we jumped around for a couple of seconds, later one of his teammates came by and stared at us for a few seconds then he splatted me.
