It's not actually time-stopping, I have seen this movie and he used what I guess was a hypnosis gun on her at the beginning, and made her unable to move, she is still aware of her surroundings though, and sometimes you can hear her thoughts as a voice-over with the standard complaints like "don't come inside, what if I get pregnant" and stuff like that.

Because there are no day-after pills in Japan? I don't get why that is always the main concern.
