I know that there are people who prefer Jessica over Medea, but doesn't this ruin the whole point of the story? The hero had to go through so much trouble to break the curse off of Medea, her father and the entire kingdom. Not only that, but the original PS2 version did show that the hero and Medea had some history and had plenty of moments for the player to get to know Medea.
And what about Medea? She was about to marry that douchebag Charmles.
This doesn't seem that rewarding to me unless the writers have found a way to justify this.

I'd say "ruin the whole point of the story" is being terribly overdramatic, unless the point of the story was for The Hero to score some princess pussy (And while I haven't played the game, I'm reasonably sure that's not the case.) Plus, I'm told that the original ending is still in the game, so there's that.

@1823918 Don't jump the gun dude. Many people loved the game, Medea and BOTH endings (Myself included). However, many fans felt that Jessica deserved one too since she has a LOT of chemistry with the Hero throughout the game. Square-Enix is fixing that for the 3DS version. They're not removing the other endings, so calm down and look before you leap next time.

Man, I wish they do this for every re-release, remake, or remaster of a game.
I do hate canon pairings, or at the fairly least when they always try to pair the protagonist with a specific girl when theirs a cuter gal who just has more favorable interactions with the protagonist.
