Ahhh... they're looking at me...
And they're so close...
A large number of customers are crowded in front of me, with just a large desk in between.
I’m currently cosplaying as a popular game character, and also am a saleswoman at this event.
…but, the cosplay I’m wearing is actually just painted on my bare skin…
Since everyone is walking around in search of the books they’re looking for, no one’s noticed so far, but if they were to pay more attention, my odd appearance would become apparent…
Cosplay is, in essence, like a drug to me.
The happiness and pride of being noticed will eventually wash away any other emotions.
And if asked, the serious answer as to why you’re dressed as someone else is to cover up your own embarrassment…
“Ahhh… doing this kind of thing… I wonder why I accepted this…”
“I can’t take care of this booth by myself…”
“Ah! No…!!”
The paint had begun to drip because of the sweat…
In addition to the hot summer sun, the large crowd of people packed into the hall raised the temperature inside the venue.
Since my sweat continues to flow even just standing still, this outfit, which is only one layer of paint, is terribly weak and helpless under the circumstances.
Even if the sweat on my chest begins to wash away the paint, I can’t even wipe it away.
“What should I do… the sweat… I’ve got to wipe it off…”
“Ah, but… if I do that, then the paint would just come off too!”
“Ahh… just please, don’t let the customers notice…”
“Excuse me, I’d like a copy of this… one… please…”
“Ah… um… sure thin…”
My last word didn’t even fully come out.
Ahh! They noticed! They noticed!!
…what should I do…? I… I… I can feel my knees shaking and hear my heart pounding.
Hanging my head in embarrassment, I couldn’t see the customer’s face well, but heard them say:
“Thanks… um, I… I like your cosplay”
“Good luck.”
“…huh?!”
For a moment, I doubted my own ears at that shocking response.
I was really worried that I’d be drowned in verbal abuse and dragged out to be put on display.
Their unexpected reaction suddenly lifted all the tension I had, and instead… a huge wave began to wash over me.
My heart was still beating loudly, but its pulse only made my eyes brightly shine under the pleasantly positive feeling.
Ring ring ring ♪
“Ah, hello?… yeah, yeah… I’m fine”
“You can take your time walking around… yeah, three hours is alright…”
I can’t stop the sweat from earlier…
I’m sure that in three hours, all the paint I put on will have surely been washed away.
Imagining that inevitable moment, I began to wipe away the sweat, and paint, from my hard nipples…

I am that poor fool! Except it was actually kinda fun, I have a weird soft spot for posts like this.
Definitely difficult, though, so if there are mistakes, I wouldn't be surprised.
