To be fair, Bahumut_Zero, Gardevoir is known to be a powerful psychic. Who's to say they can't be good illusionists as well, and only -appear- like that?

I always assumed she simply wasn't what she appeared, rather putting on an illusion to help her trainer and other's feel more at ease around them.
