^ The sad part is, even if he had, the moment things started going south, Vegeta could've stepped in and Frieza would've gotten wrecked anyway. His vengeance would not have been satisfied either way.

From what i gathered, had he learned to master the new form he would not have had to suffer from side effects over time like he did against Goku and Vegeta both in SSJG-SSJ. So without those side effects the only way to beat him would have been to discover the form beyond that, theorized by some for many reasons to be Broly's legendary form (which i agree with)

It seemed to me that Golden Frieza was only a little stronger than SSGSS Goku - strong enough to have the edge - and the reason Vegeta opted not to help at all was because he knew as well as Goku that Frieza wouldn't have that edge for long. I imagine if Frieza didn't have that glaring weakness and it looked like Goku was going to lose, Vegeta would've jumped in and helped. I doubt Frieza could handle Goku AND Vegeta at the same time. The gap in their individual power wasn't that great.

I finally found a comment section of an animated Dragon Ball scene where people aren't bitching at each other about how Super sucks and how much older dragon Ball is SO much better than anything newer. Just pure legit debate without blasting each other with hate.
