In Saria's case the weapons that would make the most sense for her (deku stick, kokiri sword, ocarina & fairies) are all being used by other characters. Nobody so far's using a weapon that I think belongs to Malon more.

It's 1 thing if a given character simply isn't in HW, only so many can get in, but Saria's 1 of the few that feels like she was straight up robbed of a spot. (though I may need to add Aryll to that list now).

I really hope Nintendo and Koei Techmo make a full Hyrule Warriors 2. Because there are so many characters in Zelda that they could use. (As well as do a new-ish story.)

I agree that it feels like Saria got robbed of a spot on the roster. I think it's partly because both Darunia and Ruto did get in. But as MAtgS pointed out, at this point, it seems pretty much assured that Saria will never get added to the game because there isn't really anything left for her to use as a weapon now that we have Skull Kid using both an ocarina and his fairies.

I stopped buying Nintendo products because they stopped putting Groose in their games. No Groose = no buy.
