sceond, the striker units need to have direct contact with as much skin as possible. you may notice that in the 2nd row of pictures (2nd vertical row from the left) that Sanya is wearing tights/pantyhose (Elia and Perrine also wear tights/pantyhose) i'm not shure why they are exempt from the rule for skin, perhaps the fabric is thin enough that it doesn't make a difference.

The official cop-out is that the cultural expectation that women should wear pants/skirts never arouse in the SW universe. Of course this makes no sense, since the main reason for clothing is protection not modesty. Aside from being highly implausible that all cultures would lack such and expectation.
