What's wrong with .webm? Video files are smoother and better quality than .gif files...

WEBMs don't loop on many browsers/versions.

Yeah, I could get better quality and a lower filesize, but then I might have to update my browser for the first time in years, fuck that right off.

Well they do loop perfectly fine on 2 of the most popular browsers (Google "Chrome" and Mozilla "Firefox"), both of them are free. Time to upgrade, chaps :)

They only loop if they're a part of a webpage, they don't loop if they're opened separately in a new tab.

That's wrong, certain crap browsers don't have that option but even then addons exist to do it anyway.

I find it hilarious that I stated a fact and you replied with "That's wrong" as if I can't replicate the conditions with a single click of a button. I don't know what you consider a "crap" browser, but I have both firefox and chrome, both up to date and both don't loop when opened separately. You might disagree, but that doesn't change the facts, don't be a retard.

When open in a separate tab: right-click and select "Loop."

Is that really so hard?
