Link is a boring and lifeless character, the worst character in each game. He is the official "chosen one" hero with no personality and all of these humiliation pictures are people showing their contempt for the worst part of the Zelda franchise.

Link isn't meant to have a personality. No Main RPG character is. They are meant to be voiceless and characterless because it allows you, the player, to project your own image upon the character. That's one of the many reasons Elder Scrolls does so well. On the contrary, that's one of the many reasons why Fallout 4 flopped. Having a character that speaks and has their own personality in a world that you're essentially shaping through your actions breaks immersion. Say you wanna slaughter a whole town for the shits and giggles, well what if your character was abhorrently opposed to that kinda behavior despite having the in game capability of doing so. Then you slaughter them anyways and your avatar doesn't break that super righteous attitude. That is really immersion breaking

#2083379 That entire comment made no sense because one, you used western rpg's as an example which Legend of Zelda is not one. Two, Legend of Zelda is not even an RPG at all, it's an action adventure game. So it would make sense for Link to talk in these games since they're story based adventure games, not a create your own story western rpg.
