Uhm...actually its not hetero... Angelus is male and called Angel in the original japanese version.... hence Legbas Name, which is Angel backwards...

Angel's Japanese voice actor IS male, but the character is still referred to as female. Dragons in the games have no gender anyway, they just either identify as male or female. Angel and Gabriella are female, Legna and Mikhail are male.
