Every car in western Canada is electric. They only have to recharge in the winter when the sun goes away.

Holy SHIT dudes! Are you guys WAY outta the loop!

Lemme give you a little tip: If you're gonna live in Alberta, ya gotta have a truck! #1. Lots of us like to do a little thing called 4x4in'. #2. Alberta weather has a mind of its own, plus our winters tend to get BRUTAL by the end of Feb. to the middle of March, so we NEED that 4x4... with at least 300 hp under the hood.

Take it from somebody who lives here.......... WITH A 4X4 TRUCK!

An electric muscle car? No. Just no.

Anon 311808: You don't need 4x4. Top Gear drove across fucking Botswana in 2WD cars. Specifically, an Open Cadet, a Lancia Beta Coupe' and a Merc 240D.

If a fat, balding 50-odd year old Brit with 0 offroad experience and the patience of a honey badger can drive the world's most unreliable car across the spine of Africa I think you can handle a snowy road in Alberta with a 2WD pickup.

I vote for the block heater myself...

Anon 472496: Yah, we CAN handle the snowy weather in Alberta; my SUGGESTION (ie. u don't gotta if u don't wanna) is to own a 4x4 truck if you live here. Trust me, you'll be GLAD you did; we tend to have very unpredictable snows. Your call, man. Free country.

Suggestion #2: We don't bother with electric cars around here. Our weather is unpredictable 365 (or 366 on leapyears) a year. We've even had a snowstorm around July one year (I'm not fuckin' you, man! WE DID!!) Last response was to Anon 291605's pinheaded comment.

Suggestion #3: Botswana's a tropical nation. Canada isn't. Consider carefully how those cars would do in the dead of a particularly brutal winter.

Suggestion #4: 4x4's have higher recreational value than anything else. They'll take you places 2wd's don't have a hope in hell in! (ie. OFF the road and into the muck, HAR HAR!)

So, that said, DON'T KNOCK MY 4X4, OR YOU AND YER FANCY SCHMANCY SMART-CAR ARE KISSIN' MAH TREADS! AND DAT FAT-ASS OL' BRIT, TOO!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAaaaahhh!!

(Well, maybe i'll just blind u with my high-beams, *nyuck nyuck*)

Hi, for all of you that do not live in areas that experience a season of cold weather, this is a block heater. No, we don't all drive electric cars, very few people do. The point of the block heater is to plug it in overnight so your vehicle is not as cold and difficult to start up in the morning.

Omar's submission page on deviantart directly says "So why not an electric muscle car, i am allowed to imagine." This is an electric car and not a block heater
