For the first time in a decade, this misunderstanding trope is funny and makes sense to me; wouldn't you have jumped at the opportunity to feel up/be naughty with a child? No? Yes? Doesn't matter, you were dead the moment it was decided you had to share a room.

Hate to inform you but this indeed another completely retarded misunderstanding trope that makes zero sense. Him sleeping in the same room had nothing to do with it.

Tina waking up on his crotch wasn't bad enough but let's just have her say things that people don't say in real life when they just wake and would OBVIOUSLY lead people to believe a sexual encounter happened (oh and having to pull up her shirt helps to). Totally not a contrived joke at all right?

Some people man....

@leathergead93 Obviously tongue-in-check humor (figuratively). Also Tina gives the impression of someone who is airy... but there are time she knows exactly what she's doing while pretending to be airy. You can easily argue this is one of those moments. That and lolis are icons of irony, this trope is mandatory.

Some jokes are very contrived. If you want an example of this joke done right watch Onegai Twins around episode 5.

@Anon 2 Barakamon had two main characters, one being a grown man and the other being a very young child. And from what I recall there was only one instance of a joke about it being included. In the ENTIRE show. And that joke was much more tasteful than here because it wasn't some stupid overused misunderstanding bullshit. It was just a character teasing him about hanging out with a kid all the time. That's it. It wasn't "Oh no I conveniently found you in a compromising position with a child! Better call the police!".

All I'm saying is having a children in your show is HARDLY an excuse for dumb sexual gags like this. It's pretty clear that the show was going for that loli fanservice appeal. So any sexual innuendo's they can fit in are par for the course. If people are into that I really don't care. However arguing that these kind of jokes are realistic is a another fucking matter >:/.

@leathergead93 Well to be fair in the show this was the only "misunderstanding" incident. And no one ever said if it was good or not, as a gag; or if it was realistic (given anime, kinda rare).

I think what anon2 was pointing out, was that the trope's humor plays on the irony of lolis in non-hentai stuff. Not the misunderstanding.
