It would be predictable and convenient for the four to obtain the maidens powers, if they are gonna receive them anyways, might as well just start the show with the four having the powers but not knowing about them rather than building all this story, just so they can have them in the end, one way or another (which can lead to inconsistency).

Nah, the writers of the show aren't going to do that. It wouldn't make sense. Moreover, we only know one of the maidens at the time of this posting, so I think the other three are going to be saved for future seasons. For now, we must wait to see what is going to happen to Autumn and Cinder.
