Given the popularity of the game, we may not be far off. But which route should the story take? All of them? None of them? Something entirely new? Why not consult Toby Fox?

Honestly, I like Undertale, but I feel it wouldn't work as an Animated cartoon.

Then again, that might be my inner cynicism talking, considering how many animated adaptions of video games I've seen that weren't good...

best route to take imo, start off neutral, Frisk becomes terrified of the underworld and guilty over Toriel, that fear causes frisk to lash out and level up, eventually falling under Chara's control and going down the Genocide route(keep Frisk and Chara's gender ambiguity intact, no real point in assigning anything) During the fight with Sans. have Frisk remember flowey talking about how a powerful determination can override anything, and return a lost save. This allows frisk to regain control right as Sans falls asleep and stops Chara from finishing him off, cue a heroic "His Theme" as Frisk starts over with Toriel, that same guilt that gave Chara power now stripping it from them. Now into a pacifist run, but the journey becomes that much harder.

There's no Undertale anime because this game isn't that big in Japan yet. If we got an anime now it'd just be some fake weeb crap. It's best bet here is as a Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon cartoon.

Toby would never allow it to be a cartoon. He's really against selling out and he won't even let 3rd party stores make merch of Undertale. Don't hold your breath, people.
