As positively gorgeous as Pochaco is, I feel like Taruco essentially just disappeared in Tsuji's eyes.

Then again, I can confirm her lack of popularity, as her introduction in October/November 2015 was a lot less well received compared to Pochaco in May/June 2013. Maybe a certain woman that dresses up eloquently can fix that?

I don't hate Taruko's design but if you are fat you NEED big breasts. She just looks awkward.
Also, I remember Taruko was featured extensively in the Whopping topping artbook (that is still unscanned, damn nips). There were measurements and a lot of 4koma with her in it.
It just seems like there was a lot of work put into her to just scrap her out of existance.

Taruko does seem like she was just forgotten.

Her design really wasn't as good, tbh. She looks almost disproportional. It's obvious he wanted to make a bigger girl, but not a Pochaco clone, so to give her some uniqueness they shurnk her tits and blew her ass up to a comically huge size.

I wouldn't mind if they redesigned her at this point.

It's a shame, while I was not the biggest fan of her granny hair, awkaward face and smaller breasts, fat characters aren't exactly common so I can't help but feel sad that it just didn't work out for Taruco.

Okay, so they aren't really small, but like they said, maybe too/disproportionally small.

Even though I think it's a lot easier to find girls that look like Taruco than Pochaco, and perhaps even Sonico (without implants of course).

It's true than Pochaco's proportions are rare IRL but not nonexistent. This girl (tokyotopless.com/photoset/detail/photosetid/518/) is pretty close. And this one (o-madam.com/lady_detail.php?lady_num=779406) is almost identical.
