Trying to trade Pokemon that evolve by trading holding a specific item on the GTS is a nightmare. The other person isn't obligated in any way to have it holding an item, let alone the right one.

All you have to do is trade it with a King's Rock.
And just trade for the Slowking itself, or find someone online you can trust to tradeback.
