Look up "Blood: The Last Vampire" (released in 2000) and you'll see why. Blood+ the tv series was very different from the original 45min-50min movie in art direction as well as storyline altogether. If there were to be a sort of comparison analogy, "B:TLV is to Super Metroid" as "Blood+ is to Metroid: Other M". Not to say Blood+ isn't any good, but it was weaker in story concept. IMO of course.

in Blood+ the character designs seemed almost generic where as in B:TLV the character designs had more attention and detail to them. Saya indeed had full lips as well as a relatively strong looking physique under her school girl uniform. Hell the Chiropterans in B:TLV looked much more monstrous than in Blood+, not to mention they were a lot stronger in comparison.

I liked BTLV but I always felt it was in the middle of the story. I always hoped they would do more to fill things in some. I kinda lost interest in B+ when they started traveling around the world. I'm going to give B-c a chance though
