According to the author, tsuyu was originally planned to be a boy. Wonder if he would have looked like this, or if he would have looked more obviously mutant/frog-like, like his parents.

That's probably part of the reason everybody finds Tsuyu so cute. It could have easily been a repeat of Toad from X-Men, which I don't think would've been for the better.
