I called it being part Psychic somewhere, but I honestly didn't expect it to be part Ghost as well. Unfortunately I see no way for this thing to resist Earth type attacks; I originally thought It would be part Flying or have Levitate...

Also It's new ability is just a glorified Sturdy...

To be fair, Dark type represents the evil sort of darkness while Ghost type is more heavily associated with shadows and such.

And to be extra fair, the Dark type isn't even called Dark type in Japan, it's called the "Evil" type.

That said, one of the Fairy type moves is specifically called Moonblast (Moon Force in Japan), and Clefairy, which are said to be from the moon, are Fairy types, so why isn't the moon Pokemon a Fairy type?

Just look at Cresselia, it represents the crescent moon, but it's weak to dark. Darkrai, on the other hand, is found on New Moon Island and is strong against Cresselia, Lunatone, and now Lunala. If you think about it, the only time it's completely dark at night is during the new moon or a lunar eclipse. The moon gives light, not darkness.
