The eyes just kinda make it seem odd. With her eyes so wide open showing so much of the whites it makes it look like she's horrified. Like there's some hardcore terrifying shit happening JUST off screen that she's completely frozen at the sight of but just can't bring herself to look away or stop chewing her damn gum.

I choose to believe there was a mass escape from the Rei-quarium and she's just opened the elevator doors to find a dozen naked smiling Rei inside. I feel like that's something that'd cause Asuna.exe to crash.
