Basically, a long history between the two. Amber betrayed Hei really hurting him. He's been searching for her for years and once they finally meet....well, the difference in how they see each other is shown here.

The sad part is everything she did was for his stake, something he doesn't find out until it was far too late. And Yin had already claimed him.
