They explained how they knew a Mega Flygon was high in demand, but couldn't come up with a viable design. Whether in time for ORAS or at all is yet to be revealed.

Yes, mega Frygoon would be great. i'd personally love a mega-mightyena, or mega-torcoal, too. and mega-Lapras, if well designed, would be the definition of coolness (just very-personal opinion, you're free to not share this)
but what we need, is a mega-dragonite. dragonite is already strong, but since Garchomp, Salamence and Tyranitar got their mega, it would be ''fair'' to give one to dragonite.
speaking about dragonite, did you notice that except him, every pokemon used by Lance can mega-evolve now? glad that this thing had'nt been introduced back then. :D

^ uh, even if there was mega evolution back then, Lance wouldn't be able to mega evolve his entire team. only one pokemon on a trainers team can mega evolve per battle.

If Lance can hack for Level 50 Dragonite, why can't he hack for multiple Megas per battle? And even failing that, what's to prevent him waiting until you battle him to choose which of his team he Mega evolves?
