If he thinks that's bad he should look up the scores for some of his own games.

I backed the game, and beat it. It was boring, forgettable, lazily designed, and probably the most disappointing game of all time.

This was the first and last time I'll ever do any kickstarter shit. Fuck this uninteresting, unentertaining cash grab piece of garbage.

That's the risk of backing something. Throughout this whole debacle people have learned some valuable lessons.

PR people need to be somebody who isn't a lunatic or professional victim. That lady who was given PR control by Comcept was, unfortunately, both of those. She made situations about herself rather than the game or the community. Comcept lost a few backers because of her shenanigans.

The delays seem a bit suspicious to me as well. Just what were they doing?

Another thing learned is its good to know where, exactly, the money goes to. From the beginning up to this point we know nothing about how the money was put into the project.

Honestly, while I am quite sad about MN9 being such a flop, I think this will serve as a necessary precedent.

''Even Legends Can Fail.''

I don't really blame KS; from the start, it was a statistical fact, that for every Pillars of Eternity (an epic game created by a team of legend) or Undertale (an epic game created by a then-not-so-well-known developer), we'll sadly have at least one Project Cats (blatant cash grab) or MN9 (a failure with a team of legend behind).

Now, it's up to IGA-sensei and his Bloodstained, a well as the upcoming Shantae game to clean the face of KS. Because let's face it, while a good deal of shitty games have come out of KS, a great number of damn good games have come out as well.

My standing on the whole thing is that while the all the PR bullshit killed it, the very hype put it down the road to failure.

I can guarantee at the time of the kickstarter, there were far more people that funded it more as a "fuck you, Capcom" then actually had any interest in the game itself. And the overwhelming results gave everyone, including Inafune himself, the disillusion that Mighty No. 9 was going to be anything more than what really is.

Megaman games were always fun but never anything special, and MN9 is just another Megaman game.

Even i can't say it's the best game, but maybe it was only unsatisfactory because it's the first of its series. Hopefully the sequel will be better and have a bigger, deeper story plot.

I can't help feeling kinda forlorn in all this personally I mean as a long time Megaman Fan I was really hoping that this would turn out good maybe convince Capcom to revive the franchise and make more games to help compete with this

They seem to be interested in doing that anyway what with the Legacy collection and the recent surveys about possible new Megaman games I just feel that whether or not the series in the eyes of gamers is either "nothing special" or an unforgettable part of their gaming experiance I really hope to see more of the Blue bomber

maybe theyll be able to convince Inafune to come back to Capcom and do some more Megaman one can hope

It's a good game. There's crappy dialogue and it's short, but for 30$ what were you expecting? It is fun and it's what counts. If you were really waiting on this game for 3 years to be a game of the year AAA title that's your own fault for thinking that.
