No, this is always the way it plays out. Even if the female is the offender in this situation, she still hits the guy, because all anime females are irrational twits apparently.

Tired gag is tired, even in an awesome show like Noragami.

Which is why those few animes that have that one rational female that actually chews out the irrational ones for the guy's sake are nice.

This sort of thing hardly registers as comedy to me these days. I kind of wish more anime would be more dry humor focused, not so many overreactions that normal people don't have etc. Stuff like this is the reason I've pretty much dropped it for a year and counting. So repetitive.
