If you'll note, Hyrule Warriors is a spinoff game that they feel doesn't matter to the canon of the games.

Let's think about it. You've been able to play as Peach in a mainline Mario all of 1 time and only in multiplayer. You can't set off on a grand adventure to rescue something other than herself just once? And no, Super Princess Peach isn't a good example.

Princess Daisy has never made a mainline appearance.

Samus Aran Galactic Warrior was stated to be a 6' no nonsense warrior, who has been reduced to some blond -5' model who prances about in glowing high heels.

Princess Zelda has never shown an ounce of heroics ever. Her most interesting incarnation was Tetra, but the moment she discovered her destiny, she was locked in a cupboard. And the one time you got to play as her, she was technically dead.

Midna? Awesome. Became boring the moment her true form was revealed.

Japanese folklore, tradition, and contemporary storytelling is full of strong female leads. Just so happens that Nintendo apparently couldn't find themselves in a position to make a strong lead if one of them rammed them in the ass with a strap-on.

Yes, of course, when a game with what you want happens, it's just a spinoff game that doesn't matter.

Sounds like goalpost changing to me.

I mean really, poor little you; Nintendo isn't pandering to your every want and desire, so of course they're nothing but evil sexists. That's why Hyrule Warriors even exists, right?

I mean, sexists just love to make games filled with characters of a gender they just seem to despise so very much, right? That's also why Rosalina is basically the mother to all the universe as well, right? A sexist would surely make a mother quasi deity of such great importance.

No, you didn't get what you wanted, so instead of accepting it, you have to go on a crusade of calling everybody a sexist. You don't care about creative choice, you want what you want, and when you don't get it, you label everybody as something horrible so you can get public opinion on your side in the vain hope that you can force them to conform to your wants and desires.

You don't give a fuck about anything but your petty, selfish desires because in the end that's all that matters to you.

I can tell anon 1975429 hasn't played a single Zelda game, saying Zelda has NEVER shown an ounc of heroics ever. In OOT and Twilight princess she fights along side Link. Remember Shiek? No?

Samus prancing around in highheels? Last I checked Smash bros was up there with Hyrule Warriors. She was in her suit 90% of the time in Other M which I believe was the last Metorid game

Please actually play these games before you assume you know what's going on

"Let's think about it. You've been able to play as Peach in a mainline Mario all of 1 time and only in multiplayer. You can't set off on a grand adventure to rescue something other than herself just once? And no, Super Princess Peach isn't a good example."

lol why? because it fucks up your narrative?

"Princess Daisy has never made a mainline appearance."

Why would she? not every side character and their mother needs their own mainline appearance

"Samus Aran Galactic Warrior was stated to be a 6' no nonsense warrior, who has been reduced to some blond -5' model who prances about in glowing high heels."

Where the shit are you getting this? Your ass? You need to lie in order to push a narrative. Name one game where she doesn't appear in her power armor. ONE.

"Princess Zelda has never shown an ounce of heroics ever. Her most interesting incarnation was Tetra, but the moment she discovered her destiny, she was locked in a cupboard. And the one time you got to play as her, she was technically dead."

retarded as fuck. Never played OOT? She escaped Ganon on her own and went to help Link throughout his journey

"Midna? Awesome. Became boring the moment her true form was revealed. "

which wasn't until the end of the game you idiot

"Japanese folklore, tradition, and contemporary storytelling is full of strong female leads. Just so happens that Nintendo apparently couldn't find themselves in a position to make a strong lead if one of them rammed them in the ass with a strap-on."

I thought you tumblerfags commited suicide en-mass when someone actually told you no. If you continue to live, might you actually play these games and take off your "oppression glasses" while doing so?

No, because it is a terrible example of a female lead. Think of the powers she uses. Her powers are basically mood swings weaponized.

Then I suppose like Marine the Racoon and the rest of Sonic's Shitty Friends, she has no point for existing and can just be replaced with Generic Female 7.

Well, I can name several games where the power armor doesn't give her Hartman hips. The Other M power suit is a ridiculous design of its own.

Zelda didn't *escape* Ganon, she went into hiding and was caught the instant she let her guard down.

And the end of Twilight Princess was boring. :v

I'm not crying oppression, I'm just saying the reasons Aonuma and Miyamoto have presented for not being able to select a female avatar are *bullhonky.* In the 30 years of the franchise, never once did it come up to consider such a thing when the technology made it feasible?

"Balance of the triforce?" Epona shit. I guess Joan of Arc wasn't courageous then. Or how about Marie Curie or Valentina Tereshkova?

There are female Link cosplayers, several of whom have been uploaded to this very booru. Are they doing it wrong unless I can infer a schlong? Why not just make an option and call it a day? After all, they're shaking the conventions and traditions of the series after 30 years and varying degrees of pokemon style staleness, why not minorly shake things up, Zelda Timeline be damned as the nonsense it was created to be?

So you are saying you Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon on the does not exist. Zelda was the full on main playable character for the entire game. You can probably emulate if want to play Zelda that badly.

What does Joan of Arc, Marie Curie or Valentina Tereshkova have to do with the Triforce of wisdom? Beside Link gets the raw end of the deal for having the Triforce of courage.

As for Princes Peach so you are saying you never played Mario 2, Mario RPG, or Super Mario 3d World. That are all main line Mario games.

This is just another example of where feminism ruins everything.

Samus Aran was always a very tall muscular athletic woman. In her design notes it is even mentioned that her boots are supposed to be very flat. However when the zero suit was introduced and groups such a team ninja were allowed to animate her, they ignored the directives of the "flat boot" and gave those boots heels.

So why is this an example of where feminism ruins everything?

Well, that is because you can't have a conversation about how Nintendo have started destroying what made a character original and interesting without feminists butting in or people mistaking complaints about how a charact3er is being ruined with feminism.

Complaining about how they are "feminizing" Samus and making her look like a slut, isn't one about "sexism". The complaint is that they are making her less sexy.

Samus filled/fills the fetish of the "huge tall muscular slender woman masculine acting" character. People liked Samus because she filled that fetish. We already short huge breasted feminine women everywhere else. Why ruin the muscular slender woman that other men enjoyed?

Yes, it is true that Samus has always been able to use her powersuit in all games she has appeared -- but with the creation of the zero suit, players were able to play as her not wearing the power armor.

Now even when NOT wearing the powersuit -- Samus Aran is supposed to be 6'3.

The problem was that shitty team ninja game.

Samus Aran due to science etc was a special case. She wasn't like normal females. However in the team Ninja game the marines she is working with... are all taller than her.

All the marines look like they are at least 7'2

So what was the point of allowing her to be tall? Her whole story in that game sucked, and team ninja didn't understand her personality at all.

and then later came the latest brawl.

While it is true that all the heights of all the characters are messed up -- making Solid Snake taller than Samus Aran was just beyond dumb. the original Solid Snake was some 5'11 tall, and then later had his info changed to say that he was 6'0

But even then he should have been shorter than Samus, yet he was made taller than her in the game. The other characters are okay because they were goofy, but why were human characters taller than her?

But the latest brawl was even worse where they gave her the idiotic powerheels. Those things aren't even logical as there is no way you should be able to have rocket boosters in your boots.
And instead of keeping true to her design, they animated her so she looks more comic-like. her breasts became 3x bigger. Her hips and ass became 2x wider and now she is even shorter looking. In short she just looks ridiculous.

Thing is -- for all feminists out there... it was actually a team of women at Nintendo that designed Samus like this. As us usually the case in Japan, whenever a female character is being feminized, it is normally women that are doing it.

So it isn't sexism or whatever (not that making a character look more feminine is sexism) what is happening here is character decay due to idiotic female character designers.

Now as for you my little feminist...
Female cosplayers that cosplay as Link don't cosplay as a female Link. They are cosplaying as a male Link. They cosplay as Link because they like HIM.

Link is a male character. Link is a male name. Link is NOT a title.

So no, there is no reason whatsoever to make playing as a female Link an option.

However, maybe we should ask us: Why does every Zelda game need a Link?

Sure we can go with puns like "it's a link between the games"

But in the end, the only one that needs to be reborn is Zelda since she is directly tied to the Triforce.

Now Linkle was a SHITTY character. It was Nintendo pandering to idiots, idiots that didn't even really appreciate the character even when it was released.

It's not Link!! Hurrr durrr!!!!!

Yes, because Link is a boy.

But Linkle was a shitty character because we already had a perfectly fine "female Link" (lol) in his sister Aryll.

The design of Linkle was fine, even good. But the problem was her story and her name. Why did Nintendo make her just somebody that looked to Link? Why give her such a dumb name?

Wouldn't it have been better if they had just named her Aryll?
She even looks like an older Aryll!!

Even her story where she believes she is the hero would have made more sense if she had been Aryll and been Link's real younger sister.

But this is why Feminism ruins everything.

Instead of getting a playable Aryll, we got a "Linkle" and then Nobody was happy.

The people that wanted Aryll where angry that Linkle had stolen whatever chance they ever had of getting a playable Aryll.

And the SJW/feminists were angry because Linkle wasn't called Link and didn't look like a man.
