Have tried it. It's not possible because you have to hold the camera very high. In this position the parts down are covered but can see the nipples from above.

Something like this _may_ be possible with someone else taking the photo after very accurate positioning, certainly not by the subject herself.

I first thought this picture was inspired by some real-life selfie that however became a viral sensation only recently. Turns out, that new craze has originated from this very picture instead. The artist should be proud :D
