Anon 2, I feel like there was very little development for either relationship in terms of romance. I say this only because Bleach isn't exactly dripping in romance. I feel like there were chances where Ichigo could've established a deeper relationship with either Rukia or Orihime, but he either passed them up or Kubo added some other intervening factor. Regardless, even though I'm Ichiruki, I'm totally fine with how it ended. Primarily because of the lack of development between Ichigo and Rukia/Orihime and partly because of how fucking adorable Kazui is.

How could you think Naruto and Hinata was a given? Even after Hinata nearly died trying to save Naruto from pain she was still invisible to him. Where was there any sign Naruto gave a fuck about Hinata in a romantic sense? I mean they barely talk or appear in the same screen together as opposed to Ichigo and Orihime

@#2007811 That's an issue since this isn't a romance manga and the writer said he didn't want any romance at all. Ichihime wasn't written to be deep either, it was written to be intimate. Intimacy is both difficult to portray, since there has to be a line drawn before incriminating yourself, and to decipher, since it's a completely subjective and unquantifiable aspect, in a series like a shonen manga.

If you got invested in a "possible" romance in a series that wasn't about romance in the first place, you're an idiot and you only have yourself to blame for your disappointment. I can't stand fans who try to make something out of nothing and try to FORCE it even though it was never really there. Romance was never the point or focus of Bleach. It was a freaking shonen battle manga Get over it. Fans like that kill the quality of fandoms everywhere. Crap like this is why I don't do ships and hate shippers.
