I swear people need everything to be spelled out for them lol. cant you infer the fates like half the characters? why would Halibel still be trapped. She would eventually regain consciousness and the only thing keeping her locked up was flimsy metal chains lol? yeah it sucks the series got axed so it didnt get the chance to properly conclude everything but its still kubo so odds are he wouldn't have explained every little detail to us no matter how much more time he had.

I mean, she was attacked by a superior foe who was aiming to mortally wound her, and after that we heard nothing about her fate... until a future data book and then the manga itself proved that such a conclusion based on what we saw, that she was likely dead, was flat out wrong.
Who is to say that Harribel, having no use, was not among the Hollows killed by the Wandenreich that caused such a massive imbalance that 28,000 inhabitants of the Rukongai had to be killed? 'Cause we don't know and we cannot infer one way or the other.
Hers is just one of the many characters whose fates we can or can not infer, but in the end we don't have a proper means of knowing because what we infer and the intent of the author can be wildly different.

Years late, but ey novel info: Halibel actually got broken out by Grimjow and Nel. The Quincy girls who got zombified got taken by Mayuri so he's got like Quincy zombie servant girls around. The Zero Squad members all got brought back by the primary one, the monk (because he's just flat out immortal), can bring back the rest long as their cities around the Soul King palace remain by calling their names (his whole naming power thing). (This next bit was crap that they didn't show this in the manga) Yhwach himself upon being defeated was sliced up and sealed as the new Soul King since he stole the Soul King's powers, and this is why the whole of the worlds didn't get destroyed by not having a Soul King after Yhwach's defeat.
On top of this we get Shinji and Shuhei's Bankais.
And at the end all of Shuhei (Shinigami), Halibel (Hollow), one of the zombie Quincy (Quincy), and Aura - a Fullbringer made for the novel (Fullbringer) all four join forces to beat an antagonist being cobbled together from the Soul King's body parts to make a new one.
Also we get the backstory of the four noble houses (plus the 5th) and why they were important in the first place and why the Soul King even mattered.
Lots of fates left unexplained but we got them in the end.
