Regardless of how much the animation quality changes, Hikari was the best skirt on the show. She was gutsy for a girl in a skirt. Often ending up, butt up, bent over, hanging above the guys, or climbing up a ladder first.

Serena and Eureka have a very high degree of popularity right now, its insane. However, they cannot compare to Hikari's. She just took the fanbase by storm. Was it her personality? her good looks? her choice of wardrobe? all of the above?

I stopped watching the pokemon anime since Johto but even I am powerless against her charms.
