Forgive my probable ignorance, but if there are no features but the screens visible, how do we know it's a 3DS and not a DS?

Anonymous #1: the bottom screen's aspect ratio doesn't match the top screen's, just like on the 3DS; the DS and DSi have screens of equiproportionate size.
