He's right when Gen 3 first came out, Gardevoir was grass/psychic. I played on the game boy advanced.

Nope, was pure Psychic until X/Y. However it learns Magical Leaf by level up like Roselia, so it's easy to think it's Grass as well.

Only Grass/Psychic-types in the entire series are Exeggcute, not-Alolan Exguutor, and Celebi.
