The fact people are still making fanart of this game which came out 3 years ago even though not many people actually played it is really a testament to the incredible dragon's crown ladies.

the doujin community about dragon's crown was huge before the game came out. i think i've seen a handful of doujins before release and enjoyed them.

the game gave it another huge push though
