Dont be silly!
Whit war machines such as these there would be nothing BUT war.
And they would go on and on and have very little detah in them.
In fact i wager most people would not remember why the war started, nor would they care.

^ Short answer is it doesn't work, if you're using it as a catapult. Unless there's some little-known fact about elf legs I'm missing, you'd be lucky if that chunk of metal didn't just smash her pretty face in.
Now as a bondage device, it seems to work perfectly fine.

Obviously none of you guys went to a respectable School/Brothel of Dwarven Engineering, so I'll enlighten you.
The Elflista, similar to the far lest advanced human weapon the ballista.
The human ballista stores it's energy in the ropes attached to the limbs of their crude device using torsion, but our incredibly advanced Elflista uses the powerful legs of a female elf to provide the energy. This means not only do you not have to wind it up every time you want to fire the device, but also much of the mechanical components are redily avalible on the battlefield after we crush one of them silly girly elf armies.
How does it work you ask?
The frontal devices are manipulated while the Elf is strapped to the Elflista. These frontal devices, inserted into the elf's orfice, stimulate an explosive orgasmic reaction in the incredibly powerful elf legs, which are known to be able to perform gravity-defying feats with their strength (See Peter Jackson's The Hobbit).
When these powerful elf legs are forced to kick back because of a powerful orgasm, the pull the projectile with it, hurling it across the battlfield. The percise distance that the projectile is thrown can be controled via the strength of the elf's orgasm.
Female elves are strongly perfered (To avoid refractory period).
