^ as long as it does enough right I think the worst it will be is just o.k. There's a balance between following the original, countering Hollywood bullshit, and changing certain aspects for western audiences. Edge of Tomorrow was probably the best example of a non-butt fucked Hollywood adaptation of a anime/manga. Did enough to please some fans, and changed enough to make it relatively marketable. That's really the best we can hope for in this day and age.
