While I'm glad that they brought back children characters in this one, it was a terrible handwave. At least the Awakening children had the excuse of being from the future and possibly not even born yet. (With the exception of Lucina.)

Taking the children into account. It means that the parents had sex during war and the girls got pregnant and they probably stuffed them in the baby realm as well so they can give birth and nurse the babies for a time while the mothers would have to reciprocate as well.

Taking that into account, "technically an adult" jokes aside, Sakura and Elise; who both are probably not older than 15 had sex and bore a child. And let's not get started when "your" character marries one of these children.
