@Chuster - Personally enjoyed FF13 a lot, I think expectations were so high that when the game launched people were let down that it wasn't some massive monster of a game with open world content and endless quests to do. My one dig is that there were a number of story/character beats that were relegated to the codex which most players didn't likely read and that detracted from the experience. 13-2 and Lightning returns ditched the linear-ness of 13 but the damage was already done by that point IMO. FF15 clearly tried to go the other way and give players much more in the ways of exploration and questing that 13 lacked till players hit pulse and the end-game trails which weren't even that expansive in a lot of ways.
