I think Sun/Moon has got the best cast of friends and rivals in the series imo. XY's friends were okay, but Hau, Gladion and Lillie are way better, and are probably my favorite characters in the game.

To be frank I didn't like XY's friends. Serena/Calem was okay, Tierno's entire dialogue consists of "dance" which got old pretty fast, and I don't remember a single thing Trevor said or did. Shauna was kinda cool, though it really bugs me she has a Level 49 Goodra when it evolves at 50. It's only one off, just make it 50!!

Lillie and Hau are best and Gladion was a pretty funny contrast, so I agree they're among the best.
