Waluigi Is also on the heavy side in Mario Kart so I think it may be because shes the tallest of the main girls and merely needs a bigger kart.

Yeah, I've always felt it was a height thing with her as well.
Especially because she is so thin...It looks like you could (princess) carry her around all day!
