i gotta be honest, the ridiculous overuse of ecchi ruined this anime for me... and this is coming from someone who usually tolerates ecchi.

I'm with you on that one. SOmetimes I want ecchi seperate from my anime time. Eventually excessive exposure will de-senisitize particular regions of the brain and lead to erectile dysfunction and even just.... meh-ness because of it. I don't even know if Japanese producers are AWARE of this or they're just idiotically aiding in their own population decline.
