Yeah this would no longer be a kids show if we applied stuff in the Games and the Pokedex's into it, especially since the S/M games have some of the most mature themes in the series.

Pokemon wouldn't be a kids show if it played the movies straight. Ash would have been dead and replaced with a clone after getting blown up by Mew and Mewtwo in the first movie.

Well they tried to make the whole Mareanie eating the Corsola thing more kid friendly here, but I don't think you can make that seem "kid-friendly". Things Phantump being a tree with dead kid's soul trapped inside of it or Banette being a kid's abandoned doll who seeks to kill it's original owner will probably not slide for the anime.

I love how PETA-tards seem to forget these kinds of details when they lampoon pokemon as "animal cruelty." They seem to not understand these aren't animals, they're monsters, hence the name POCKET MONSTERS.
