It wasn't so much that people in the U.S. had a problem with it, it's more that the censors reviewing the game THOUGHT folks WOULD have a problem with it, so they made them change it. It's quite stupid, actually. The kids playing the game don't give a shit, but the parents would throw a huge uproar if they saw little billy pulverizing a girl in a fighting game. Dumb. I remember playing Final Fight in the arcade and Poison & Roxy were in it as-is. I went home and jerked off to them several times.
