Well, for ONCE someone remembered that Crystal exists. Honestly, you'd think the first female PC in Pokemon would get a bit more respect instead of always getting shafted in favor of her "replacement" Lyra. So kudos on whoever did this.

I'm sure the main reason Crystal gets 'shafted' so much is because these days most likely the majority of people who play Pokémon have never heard of her. She never got an anime appearance whereas Lyra got a small one, and Crystal's only appearances in the games was back in generation 2. Anyone that got into Pokémon starting with Sapphire and Ruby and beyond likely never even realized this character existed and don't remember how the first games didn't give a gender choice.

Marina from the Raikou special technically represents Crystal in the anime. But of the two I definitely prefer her to Lyra.

Like Crystal, Leaf is a one shot. If they returned to Kanto for another full adventure they might bring her into the anime.
