I wonder if Legendary will do something more with Adam or if he's just gonna remain a minor plot point in Godzilla 2014 and never be brought up again in the Monsterverse. I feel like you could do more with a Godzilla fossil than just have him be the host of the parasitic MUTO spores, like maybe King Ghidorah killed him millions of years ago and then the MUTOs laid their eggs in his corpse.

Not to mention the after credits of Kong: Skull Island shows a cave painting of a Godzilla fighting King Ghidorah so we know he has visited Earth in the past before.
