I hope it starts a new trend for a while. I have nothing against Hinata, but it irritaties me, that yunger sisters in general have so little spotlight.

That Kishimoto fault since he was unable to do so considering how the story was going. Hell, The Last Naruto Movie was an excuse on how Naruto and Hinata together since he didn't do so in the actual manga.
