actually this would probably happen even if they were captured by one of the great five villages (konoha excluded). after all; kunoichi face worse than death or torture should they be captured... but they don't go over that in the academy so that's why most of the girls from konoha are weak (pre-time skip of course)

@anon2 it doesn't. You have to remember that initially kishimoto targeted young teens and kids with naruto so he couldn't get into the darker side of the ninja life style. It was only with shippuden (which already had an established fan base from naruto that was older now) that he actually showed the darker side of things. The raping of kunoichi would still be to controversial so he left that subject alone. Though I believe he subtly implied it happens when he mentioned that kumo tried kidnapping hinata.
