Don't strawman his argument... he never said the animation was bad, just that the gigantic Patreon ads were annoying. Which they are.
You don't think other artists on the site have Patreon accounts? His work isn't bad at all, he just has an obnoxious way of advertising- especially when the Patreon is already listed under "source".

I believe he makes the posts for his tumblr where he advertises his patreon and just doesn't bother removing the patreon tag. Maybe it's hard on an animation as opposed to drawings, I dunno, but it's hardly obnoxious to put a thin strip on a white background.
