Hector and Lyndis is the best pairing in the game if not the entire series. I have never understood why people don't see it that way.

-shrug- That's just your own opinion. I personally never thought they had quite the right chemistry. Certainly for friends, but not anything beyond that.

Well, the thing about them not having the right chemistry for a romantic relationship is a subjective detail, and can be said for other pairs as well. For me at the very least, they clicked together pretty well. Plus not to mention the fact that their relationship is easily more developed than their other pairs.

Well, they sort of start out as a sort of Takahashi Couple... and from there move into less violent affection. Not quite to the point that Serra/Erk is a TC... but close. Though Serra/Oswin is more likely to be FE6-continuity canon, as is Lyn/Rath and Hector/Florina.

Um... No. There's no mention of Serra and Oswin being the parents of Bors and Wendy. Adding to that, Bors and Wendy's parents are given no mention. Lilina's mother isn't mentioned, but out of all the the possibilities, Lyn seems to fit that role the most. Especially since there's little to no implications of either Florina or Farina fitting that possibility. Aside from the fact that Hector interacts with Lyn the most, he doesn't show any romantic feelings towards either Florina or Farina (both of which he's shown interacting with in exactly one chapter outside of support conversations and the epilogue) as opposed to Lyn, and Lyn is the only one shown to actually give him comfort towards the pain of losing Uther. Sue's parents aren't even mentioned, and Sue looks a lot like a full-fledged Sacaean. I don't see how Sue can be Lyn's daughter because of it and the Hector/Lyn thing. (And Rath doesn't have much interaction with Lyn outside of support conversations either. Two chapters isn't much to go on.)

I don't like pairing Lyn up with any of the other main characters because she either dies or is just not mentioned, I also just don't like Hector really. He has some redeeming qualities, but not enough for me to like him. I paired Florina and Lyn up because they have the most chemistry out of the everyone in the game for me. I won't say that Hector/Lyn is impossible, but it's not canon, the same way many of the other relationships aren't canon. You can't say that "Aside from the fact that Hector interacts with Lyn the most, he doesn't show any romantic feelings towards either Florina or Farina (both of which he's shown interacting with in exactly one chapter outside of support conversations and the epilogue)". Because that kinda makes the support conversations useless. Not everyone is going to be as apparent as Ninian and Eliwood who outright declare their love for one another.

The closest to canon pairing Lyn has is possibly Rath.
Mainly because their ending mentions them having Sue as a daughter, who is a character in Roys game.

@Flatboard: How does stating the truth "make Support Conversations useless"? There's no romance between Hector and any of the Pegasus Knights in FE7, not even in the A Supports. In contrast, Hector's literally the only one who tells Lyn that he loves her, making that pair the only one among each other's pairs to have any explicit romance. And the conversation between Lyn and Eliwood in the final chapter? The one where she asks Eliwood about Uther's well-being and how Hector's dealing with it? That conversation literally goes nowhere if Lyn doesn't have an A Support with Hector. Trying to suggest that the two end up with different people besides each other only ends up bringing up more questions than answers.

@1711245: That ignores the fact that Rath can end up with a random villager. And also ignores the following in Hector/Lyn's favor: Hector's remarks on her prettiness to Eliwood at the Merlinus chapter. Lyn's remarks on Hector's power-reliant fighting style at Noble Lady of Caelin, in slightly disapproving tones, Hector and Lyn getting alone time whenever Eliwood and Ninian get alone time. Hector's aformentioned love confession to Lyn. Eliwood's aformentioned mention of Uther's well-being and Hector's coping of the matter. Lyn comforting Hector because of how feeling about Uther's well-being. And the perfectly logical explanation why Caelin enters Ostian jurisdiction after the events of FE7 should Lyn end up with Hector.
